NIAC
was formed in 1994 as a result of an industry initiative to share
the results of supplier audits among industry companies, thereby
reducing the number of external audits on the supplier. As a unified
nuclear industry organization, NIAC provides a cost and quality
effective program for the performance of audits (referred to as
assessments) and the sharing of assessment results.
In August of 2006, NIAC found that the Electrolizing Corporation of Ohio has
effectively implemented their program with the ASME Section III
NCA-3800 requirements, and 10CFR50 Appendix B, ASME NQA-1, ANSI
N45.2 and 10CFR21 nuclear safety related requirements.
THERE WERE NO AUDIT FINDINGS AS A RESULT OF THIS AUDIT.
Furthermore, Electrolizing Corporation of Ohio was found
to have effectively implemented their Quality Manual Rev C dated
9/22/05 for the supply of plating services in accordance with NCA-3800,
10CFR50 Appendix B, NQA-1, N45.2, 10CFR21 and nuclear purchase order
requirements for nuclear supplied materials.
